Travel Photography

I specialize in Cultural Heritage Photography with an emphasis on everyday storytelling. It’s been over a decade since I first picked up a camera. Since then, I have traveled to many different places and explored local scenes, capturing candid stories for commissioned editorials, tourism boards, or personal projects. I’ve recently discovered family history work, and in the future hope to photograph ancestry culture.

Travel Writing

I specialize in Cultural Heritage Writing with a goal to branch into professional family history travel writing. You will find my scribblings in magazines, online travel sites, and in letters, I write each week about my family’s everyday stories sent out to family and close friends. In the past, I never labeled myself as a writer, but many years of hard work and education allowed me the experience. (I’m currently updating this section of my site.)

About Me:

Hi! I’m Ingrid McQuivey. I’ve lived for half a century, raised three sons, and been married to my best friend (most days!) for thirty years. A dear friend once said, “Ingrid, do you know what I love about you: One minute you are picking up a bug and the next minute you are all girl.” She’s right. I kayak in a baseball cap, yet slip on heels for the theatre, but mostly, I love to meet new people and experience new cultures.
